Imagine going to apply for a job and when you arrive they greet you by your first and last name. They say they’ve been waiting a long time for you and now that you have arrived everything is ready for you to begin right away. Scripture tells us God “chose us in him before the creation of the world” and that, “…we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”(Ephesians 1:4:& 2:10, NIV). God has called us to be saved and He has work for us to do. All this was planned before the earth was ever created. Knowing that God has prepared everything for you in this life and the next should bring comfort when bearing heavy burdens. God is never surprised by difficulties that plague us. Know that He will continue to guide you no matter what the circumstances of life bring. When in doubt remember 2 Corinthians 5:7, “We live by faith, not by sight.”(NIV). Something to think about…
