Food For Thought

If it hasn’t already happened, in this life there will be someone who takes advantage of you. They may take your money, falsely accuse you of wrong doing or even harm you physically. In the book of Genesis Joseph was someone who was definitely mistreated and maligned. Even though he was sold into slavery, accused of rape and imprisoned it was eventually revealed to be God’s plan to save lives. Joseph’s brothers had intended evil against him but God had a different plan. Gen 50:20 show us this when it says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.(NIV) When circumstances and people seem to be against us it is our job to remember Rom 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”(NIV). By faith believe that God intends good for you in all situations. Something to think about…
