For a family to function properly and be healthy, it is necessary to follow God’s directives. Colossians 3:18 gives every member of the family guidelines. “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.” (NIV) There is no guarantee that everything will always go well in the family, but we can certainly reap huge blessings by following the God’s commands. If the family is in turmoil there is a reason. God can provide direction in solving our problems; all we have to do is seek out his solutions. Something to think about…
