Food For Thought

An eternity filled with joy, kindness, love and gentleness is the reward for those who believe in Christ. Why would someone choose not to participate in this God centered existence and how should we respond to them? Matt 22:37- 39 states that we are to, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' According to the Bible those who would live for God seek to have Him as their top priority followed by a life lived for others. It is easy, in this busy world, to be distracted from the priorities of loving God and your neighbor as yourself. In the midst of this God still loves and cares for us. Likewise, we should still love and care for those who do not consider God their main concern. When doing so we fulfill the two great commandments. Something to think about…
