Food For Thought

Have you given your life to Christ and later wondered if you are saved? Our salvation is not contingent upon what we think or feel on any given day but upon the promises and the abilities of Christ. If our salvation were left up to us we would all fail to make it to heaven due to our powerlessness. In Christ, on the other hand, is all the power of God. He rose from the dead declaring that death does not have power over Him. He promised to raise us from the dead and gave us His Spirit as a deposit “guaranteeing what is to come.” (2 Cor. 1:22 NIV). Our hearts our deceitful, our thinking is corrupt and Satan sows lies therefore, concerning our salvation, it is necessary that we put our full faith in Christ. We are not to trust our reason or intuition for our eternal security. The next time you have doubt focus on Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrew 12:2). Something to think about…
