Many believe that the Bible had its beginning in the hearts and mind of men. They say since man wrote the Bible and not God it cannot be trusted. Scripture teaches the contrary. It states the will and intention of man had nothing to do with the Bible being created. 2 Peter 1:20 declares, “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (NIV) Studying the Bible and its origins will be of great service to those who wish to, “give an answer to everyone who asks,” “… the reason for the hope that you have.” Something to think about…
