Learning to be content is a lesson many in our society many wish to avoid. We set our minds on the perfect relationship, position, wealth, knowledge and sometimes power. When we fail to realize these accomplishments discontent and dissatisfaction can steal our happiness. Jesus said if we seek first His kingdom we will be provided with food and clothing. He also let us know that if we ask anything of Him according to His will we will have it and in Proverbs 16:3 we read “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”(NIV). Finally if we delight ourselves in the LORD, he will give you the desires of your heart. This means He will shape and mold even our personal wishes. Are you feeling dissatisfied with life? Feel you have gained little? Remember the words of 1 Tim 6:6 “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” (NIV). Something to think about...
