As believers we have a tendency to focus blame on others for trials we encounter. Another person, or so it seems, often appears to be at the root of our discontent. The Bible tells us that struggles such as these have their origins in the spiritual realm. It is written in Eph 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”(NIV). When we begin to recognize the source of our trials as being in the spiritual realm it provides for us a new perspective. Instead of focusing blame on others it should cause us to pray for our earthly adversaries and ask the Lord to intercede in the spiritual realm. Having this outlook will reduce stress in relationships and cultivate trust in God as He provides further wisdom to battle the enemy and his schemes. Something to think about…
