Food For Thought

When two opposing parties come together in a courtroom to have their cases heard they must give an account of their side of a story. Both parties must be represented or the case is thrown out. This is because there are always two sides to any story. As believers, we are often eager to help resolve conflict when someone explains to us their trials without ever stopping to consider there are always two sides in a quarrel. The tendency is, when telling our own story, to make ourselves look better than we actually are. It is best to keep in mind that when a lone individual makes their defense, we should make no judgements until we have heard the opposing view because Proverb 18:17 tells us, “Any story sounds true until someone tells the other side and sets the record straight. (TLB). When conflicts rage or disagreements abound don’t be too quick to believe everything you hear, until you have heard from everyone while sitting together in the same room.
