Have you ever considered giving up the Christian way of life because it is too difficult? Have you ever considered stopping your good works such as ministering to others, serving in church and/or going on mission trips? There is no doubt the true Christian life is hard but we are encouraged to continue because of reward at the end of the journey. Gal 6:9 tells us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (NIV). To serve others is to serve God. To persevere and endure in the face of hardship is commendable before our Father. It has been said ‘life is hard and it doesn’t get any easier’ but we must recall the words written in Philippians 3:14, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”(NIV).
