When going on a trip, it is wise that we plan for it. If given enough time, methodical preparation for any journey will prove rewarding. If planning is put off until the last minute, confusion, anger and discontent might be the result. Knowing that our passage into eternity will take place relatively soon it is also prudent that we make plans for our final departure. Scripture says in Psalm 144:4 “Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow.” (NIV). Also in Psalm 103:15 we are told, “As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.” (NIV). Understanding that we will one day reach our final destination have you asked Jesus to forgive you for your sins? Are you letting others know about your future travel plans? Since your last trip will be a permanent move will you leave a forwarding address so others can come and see you? Something to think about…
