As the world seem to spiral out of control with wars, economic downturns, strife among nations, unemployment and natural disasters, we should never lose heart and begin to worry about tomorrow. God first tells us in Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (NIV). We are not to be concerned over what might happen in the next hour, day or month. Matthew wrote in chapter 6 verse 34 of his gospel “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (NIV). When we trust the Lord in this manner he promises to give us the, “… peace of God, which transcends all understanding,” and it, “will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (NIV).
