There are instances in our lives that cause us to wonder if God is really there or if He is really helping us in our time of need. Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (NIV). Even though we don’t see him we are called to trust him in all areas of our live just as the prophet Habakkuk wrote “...but the righteous will live by his faith...” Hab 2:4 (NIV). Even though it may seem that God isn’t keeping our best interest in mind his ways are very much different than ours. The next time you doubt God’s goodness in the midst of your distress remember what he told the Jews. This promise is the same for you. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV). Something to think about...
