Food For Thought

When Abraham discovered God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, and because judgment was imminent, he immediately began to intercede for the people. Noah, a “preacher of righteousness” who warned the people of impending judgment, began building the ark as God commanded. He labored for over one hundred years. We have the same calling as Abraham and Noah. Since God’s judgment is coming it is our calling to be constantly interceding for the lost on their behalf. The Father is patient not willing that any should perish, so we should endeavor to reason with them as Paul did with Felix concerning “righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come” (Acts:25). How fervently do we intercede for others and warn them of the judgment to come? It is our privilege and responsibility to invite them on board the ark of our salvation, that Ark is Jesus Christ.
