Food For Thought

When operating in secret a thief believes his identity and crime will never be revealed. We often harbor thoughts of malice, envy, jealously and rage thinking if nothing is uttered we are safe. Do you understand that God knows, not only every sin we commit, but every thought and intent contained in our hearts? Ps 44:20-21 says, “If we had forgotten the name of our God or spread out our hands to a foreign god, would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?” (NIV). God knows everything and He has told us that every thought and act will one day be revealed. Matt 10:26 tells us “…There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” (NIV). This will not only reveal the justice of God, in judging sin, but also His mercy when forgiving it. When God forgives sin and extends mercy, peace with God is the result. The question is have you asked for and received mercy from God so that you might have peace? Something to think about...
